Besides having an office at the prestigious Gleneagles Medical Centre to serve the needs of our clients, StemCord is the only cord blood bank in Singapore with two separately located laboratories. We own both the state of the art laboratories, located at Science Park I and II, and they are specially dedicated to the collection, processing and storage of stem cells.

StemCord ensures that the highest standards are adhered to, in terms of processing and quality control, so as to ensure that the cord blood is safe and viable for transplant.

Recommended Procedures for Autologous and Related Cord Blood Banking	StemCord’s Procedures
Cord blood should be processed and frozen within 48 hours of collection
Standardized freezing and storage conditions should be followed
Cord blood units should be stored under liquid nitrogen or at equivalent temperatures

On Maternal Blood for Infectious Diseases: HIV1/2 VDRL HBsAG HCV CMV (Cytomegalovirus) HTLV I/I (Human T-Lymphotropic Virus)	Two maternal blood tubes are required and tested.
On Cord Blood: Pre & Post Nucleated Cell Count Cell Viability ABO & Rh CD34 Bacteria Culture Fungal Culture
